Teenager charged with stabbing gay man in north London

An 18-year-old has been charged with the stabbing of a gay man in Camden, north London, last month.

Guelor Moaso, of Maitland Park Road, Chalk Farm, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent for the February 14th attack.

He is to appear at Blackfriars crown court on August 8th. Three other suspects – aged 16, 17 and 18 – are on bail.

They were arrested three days after the attack on suspicion of attempted murder.

The 36-year-old victim was attacked in the early hours of the morning as he walked near Camden Lock Bridge with two friends after a night out in gay pub The Black Cap.

Police say the victim was asked if he was gay by one of the men, who he ignored.

Minutes later, one of the group returned and stabbed him in the leg and chest.

The victim is understood to be recovering well.
