Dell Vostro 3350 Laptop Review - With Specs & Features

Dell Vostro 3350 Laptop Review - With Specs & Features

The Vostro 3350 slips into a look that the Latitudes have had for the past two years. Its magnesium alloy frame is colored in Aberdeen Silver, with black trimmings in the front and back. If silver is not your cup of tea, red and bronze options are available as well for an additional $30. The hardened metal top makes it as sturdy as the Lenovo ThinkPad E420s and HP ProBook 5310m ($899 direct, 4 stars), though with some minor screen flexing. Its dimensions aren't as thin as the Dell Vostro V130 ($928 direc, 3 stars) and Lenovo ThinkPad X1 ($1,399.99 direct, 3.5 stars), thanks to its built-in optical drive. And it stands a lot taller because of the 80WH battery propping it up from the back. Even with the big battery, its 4.8 pound physique is very manageable on the road; although the smaller batteries found in the 5310m (3.8 lbs) and ThinkPad Edge E420s (4.3 lbs) can significantly lighten the load.
